GKS LAW LAUNCHES REDCLIFFE HOSPITAL IMPACT PARTNER PROGRAM AT BUSINESS LEADERS LUNCH
GKS Law hosted the launch of the Redcliffe Hospital’s Impact Partner Program on Friday, June 24, bringing the who’s who of the Moreton Bay business community together in support of the Hospital’s ‘Raise it for Redcliffe’ initiative.
GKS Law Managing Partner and Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital Co-Chair Jodie Anderson-Bell said, the firm was proud to be a foundation matching donor last year and was now focused on encouraging other businesses in the region to get involved and join them in becoming an Impact Partner to multiply their community impact through pledging a donation, becoming a major matching donor on Giving Day (14 October), and possibly hosting their own fundraising initiatives with their staff, suppliers and key centres of influence. “This is an ideal way for businesses to support the hospital that has been supporting our community for more than half a century,” Ms Anderson-Bell said.
“With over 2000 staff working at the Redcliffe Hospital and a vast number of these living in the local area, it makes sense for local businesses to get behind this community initiative,” she said.
The Raise it for Redcliffe Hospital initiative is a philanthropic partnership between Redcliffe Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) Foundation. All donations raised are tax deductible and support life-changing research and patient care and other initiatives at Redcliffe Hospital. Ms Anderson-Bell said 100% of all funds raised through the initiative go directly to Redcliffe Hospital with this year’s funding centred around helping upgrade the Hospital’s rehabilitation and palliative care areas. “All businesses involved in the program will be added to the Hospital’s ‘Giving Wall’ in recognition,” she said.

The event was a success, with three impact partners announced – GKS Law, Bally Cara, and Holistic Horizons – and many other businesses confirming they would like to work with ‘Raise it for Redcliffe’ further to identify how they can be involved.
