When GKS Law (previously Gleeson Klein Stegeman Lawyers) purchased 19 Creek Street, Redcliffe in 2017, it was with the clear vision to revitalise the building, once the Redcliffe Chambers, bringing life back into one of the area’s most iconic structures.
“When we started looking for a new premises in 2017, it was due to the fact we as a firm had outgrown where we were and needed additional space,” shares Mike Klein, GKS Law’s Principal.
With this vision now completed, GKS Law shares the outcome of the revival and their future vision for the building and regeneration to the area.
“For so long I have thought that the old Redcliffe Chambers building had potential, and for us, it was clear we could bring it back to life.”
Starting work in September 2017, the nine month project ended in May 2018, with total refurbishment, both internally and externally. $2.5 million was invested in the project in total.
“We are proud to have occupied the top floor in a building with so much heritage. From the outset, we also knew we were going to make the building into a professional hub, and with Parker Family Law and HAIL Fitness joining us in the building, we are seeing this become a reality.”
“We also have two additional spaces available for tenancy, and once filled, we believe the building will be a thriving business hub.”
Mike Klein says he now hopes that GKS Law’s revitalisation of the building encourages other business owners to consider investment in the area.
