Peninsula Life sat down with GKS partners Mike Klein and Kane Stegeman to get the run down on their future focused plans and what prompted the change in location, soon to be released rebrand, and team expansion.
When GKS purchased the Redcliffe Chambers on Creek Street earlier in 2017, they knew they had found not only a new permanent home for their practice, but also a rock-solid investment to demonstrate their commitment to the area and their determination to modernise the CBD precinct.
With a full interior renovation nearing completion and plans to next revive the exterior, GKS partner Mike Klein said the facelift was an exciting time not only for GKS, but for the community of Redcliffe.
“When our team expanded and outgrew our current premise, we knew it was the right choice to look to the iconic Redcliffe Chambers. The building has so much potential and a rich history.”
“Purchasing the building was about more than needing extra room. It was our commitment to the area. With 25 years servicing the region, we are passionate about Redcliffe and want to see the Redcliffe Seaside Village revived and revamped.”
Fellow GKS partner Kane Stegeman said that although there has been much talk about modernising the region, it can only happen if people invest.
“We hope our commitment to the region will encourage other businesses and property owners to refurbish and modernise their premises. Our region has so much potential and we are seeing rapid growth. We need to respond to this and renew our CBD to attract further business growth in our region.”
"We want our brand to reflect our evolution as a business and represent our commitment and place in the community."
Set to move into level 2 of the 19 Creek Street location late November, GKS also felt this was the time to expand their group of partners, welcoming Jodie Anderson-Bell on as a GKS partner from the 20th November 2017.
“Jodie Anderson-Bell started with our practice as a solicitor in 2016 and is an integral part of our team,” explains Mike.
“She has a wealth of knowledge in estate planning and succession law and her addition to our team of partners will be invaluable.”
And if the new premise, office relocation and addition of a partner wasn’t exciting enough, Mike and Kane also reveal details of their upcoming rebrand.
“GKS has a rich history with over 25 years’ operating, however we have grown so much that we felt it was time for our brand to evolve also,” details Mike.
“We want our brand to reflect our evolution as a business and represent our commitment and place in the community.”
GKS expect to launch their brand facelift alongside the opening of the new premises and the addition of Jodie to the team of partners late November.
“It is really going to be a great few months, the rewards of hard work and dedication,” details Kane.
“We can’t wait to continue servicing the Redcliffe community with the same quality care and service we have for the past 25 years, and each of these aspects of our growth allows us to do just that.”
